So, you’ve booked your exhibition space, but now you want to make sure that you build a sustainable exhibition stand that is environmentally friendly, but doesn’t compromise on its appearance.
Over our 16 years of working in the exhibition industry, things have started to change, and although custom-built exhibition stands have remained a firm fixture, companies are definitely looking for their exhibition stand to have a smaller carbon footprint, and to be more sustainable than they have previously.
So, how can Pinnacle help you build a more sustainable exhibition stand?
1. Graphics printed to recycled material
By far the biggest issue has always been single-use graphics, whether printed to banner or canvas material, or foamex panels, these have been massively wasteful and difficult to recycle, usually ending up in landfill. Pinnacle can provide tension fabric graphics printed to 100% recycled material, and that are recyclable themselves. They’re used within our modular tension fabric systems so are able to be used time and time again, not only saving the environment but also saving you money, which can’t be bad.
2. Using Recycled carpet on a Sustainable Exhibition Stand
Think about how many times the NEC is used every week, then think about the size of one single hall, now imagine all of that carpet going to landfill, and you spot the problem. Pinnacle supplies standard, recycled eco-rib, or eco-velour carpet, that is not only made from recycled material, it is able to be recycled at the end of the show. We group our used carpet over several shows and take it to be recycled by the manufacturer.
We also offer a solution for a raised platform using a modular flooring system that is re-used time and time again, unlike the conventional timber batons and sheets of MDF which have a limited shelf life.
3. Design your sustainable exhibition stand for reuse
If you exhibit regularly but have been changing your stand every time, this will not only cost you money, it will be totally unsustainable. By using a modular tension fabric exhibition stand you can achieve the look and feel of a custom built exhibition stand, but sustainably, and usually at a lower cost.
Modular stands are designed to be reconfigured to fit different stand sizes, and can even accommodate spaces with more, or fewer open sides. A great example of that is the stands we build for Allwag Promotional Merchandising, over the course of 5 years we have reconfigured the stand nearly every time to fit the different spaces that have been available to them.
4. Hire your Exhibition Stand System
If you’re looking to cut down your own storage space, then hiring your exhibition stand system is perhaps the right solution for you. We can give you a price for either a dry hire, where you install your own stand, or if you want to take the hassle out of your exhibition, we can provide a full turnkey package so all you have to do is turn up on the day.
This means you’re using a system that has been in many times before, making it a much more sustainable exhibition stand.
